The Exchange is a new premium brewery and tasting room located in Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Old Town heritage district. Although the town is known as the heart of Ontario’s wine country, it is also the scene of a burgeoning craft-brewing industry. With brewing and agricultural roots that stretch back to the late 1700s, Niagara-on-the-Lake is the perfect home for The Exchange’s approach to brewing, which blends traditional and modern techniques and equipment.
Our open-concept state-of-the-art 1,500 sq. ft. teaching micro-brewery facility offers students of Canada’s first Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program extensive hands on training in the on-site Brewery to prepare them for employment in the expanding brewery, microbrewery and brewpub industries. The Brewmaster program and Teaching Brewery are located at Niagara College’s beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake campus. Students produce a variety of brews and tasting and beer purchases are available on-site.
Crafting great beer in the Niagara Escarpment. Our vision is to embrace the local winemaking tradition of the Niagara region with a unique, farmhouse approach to craft brewing. The Niagara Escarpment’s Twenty Valley is home to Ontario’s finest agricultural land – its climate and soil provide ideal growing conditions for the surrounding orchards, vineyards and farms. We believe that this fertile ecosystem will impart a unique “terroir” for our beer, just as it does for wine.
Founded in 2015, long-time friends Todd Barber and Dave Beifuss, made their dream a reality when they cracked open the doors to Kame & Kettle Beer Works in Fonthill, Ontario. We source our ingredients and conduct our commerce locally when possible. Attention to process, use of fine ingredients, have allowed us to experiment with over 100 different beer styles to date. On tap you will find a selection of tasty ales, usually 8 or more, mirrored by our retail fridge offerings, freshly canned 946ml Crowlers and 473ml tallboys.
In a church that dates back to the 1890s, full of rustic charm with exposed beams and brick walls, a bar handmade from reclaimed barn wood from around the corner, you can now marvel over it’s character as you enjoy a pint of one of our tasty beers.

Niagara Brewing Company sits on the former site of the Foxhead Inn, one of the first luxury hotels to be built in Niagara Falls. Built and operated by Howard Fox, the Inn opened in 1925 as a subsidiary of the Clifton House, a hotel that would be lost to a dramatic fire on New Year’s Eve in 1932. From those ashes came development and progress, leading to the creation of Falls Avenue Resort and Niagara Brewing Company. And here at our brewery we honour the spirit of the fox by employing daring processes, bold flavours, and a sharp and fiery desire to create the perfect beer.
We are local brewers crafting traditional style ales using all natural ingredients. We are proud members of the Ontario Craft Brewers Association and stand committed to locally produce unique and drinkable, fresh craft beer of the highest quality. Making beer in small batches has given us creative license to experiment and brew a variety of beer styles.
Our Brewmaster has brewed a wide range of ales and lagers, and seasonal specialities that will reflect our local heritage. Our flagship brands reflect our history and will bring back memories like our 9 O’clock Whistle IPA, Shrinking Mill Pale Ale, Sailor Saison, and Hopkins Tomb Stout. We will also honour our brewing history in Port Colborne by re-creating brews from the Cronmiller & White Brewing Company from the late 1800s such as its famous Maple Lager.
Nestled among the vineyards, the distillery is home to state of the art distilling equipment, while the winery features a beautiful barrel fermenting and aging cellar and tasting room. The 23,000 square foot facility is the first of its kind in the region, featuring both wine and distilling production. The summer water feature next to the Great Lawn will become an ice rink in winter, complete with a ‘loonie’ buried at centre ice, dropped by The Great One himself at the groundbreaking ceremony in September, 2015.

In 1992 John Hall started his Distillery in Grimsby. His passion was to make hand – crafted Ontario made spirits. Little did he know, many years later, his passion and patience would translate into top selling spirit brands. Grimsby was formerly named ‘The Forty’, since the river running through the centre of town was exactly 40 miles away from Niagara Falls. Today, that river is named Forty Mile Creek – and it is the body of water that inspired the name of our whiskies.
At Forty Creek Whisky we are working to establish Niagara as an area also recognized for crafting world-class Spirits. We’re proud of our Grimsby roots, and we invite you to pay us – and the city – a visit.
Our first products are made from a base of 100% Niagara wine grapes that would otherwise be thrown on the ground during the annual thinning process. We have them dropped into baskets instead of the ground before we ferment them, then distill. Many of our herbs are either grown by us or by local farmers. Our grain is sourced locally and we have an abundance of fruit everywhere you turn in the Twenty Valley.

Konzelmann is Niagara’s only lakefront winery, located on the shores of Lake Ontario. The Winery began in the small German town of Uhlbach, near the turn of the 19th century. A restauranteur named Friederich Konzelmann left the culinary trade to pursue the craft of winemaking. Bolstered from previous success in producing house wines for his restaurants, Friederich officially released his first vintage to the public in 1893. He would eventually produce 200,000 litres of excellent wine per year from an array of Germany’s celebrated aromatic varietals.
Our unique 34-acre organic winery is located in the sub-appellation of Niagara called St. Davids Bench. Although our neighbouring growers also enjoy the fortuitous 20 percent higher temperatures of this sub-appellation, this property is an anomaly; the soils are lighter, its airflow and water drainage more consistent, and its perch on the Bench is at its highest elevation.
Our wines at Ravine Vineyard are often described as “elegant” or “refined”. This style is as much a result of the terroir as it is of Martin Werner’s organic viticulture efforts.

Trius Winery is a Niagara winemaking pioneer. For more than 30 years, we have been crafting fine VQA wines from premium grapes grown in the four appellations of Niagara-on-the-Lake. One of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s founding family wineries, founded in 1982 by Ewald Reif and later acquired by nephew Klaus W. Reif. Today, Reif produces wines from its vineyard first planted in 1977. Our 125 acre farm is located in the Niagara River sub-appellation where sun-loving grape varieties grow best. The easterly facing slopes and long growing season are moderated by the river as air currents ward off early spring and late fall frosts.
Our vineyard is located in Ontario’s warmest sub-appellation, ideal for the production of rich full-bodied wines. But time matters too. Our farm is also home to some of the oldest vinifera plantings in Canada, a benefit to growers in cooler climates like Ontario, as mature vines ripen earlier. They also produce wines that reflect the ‘terroir’, so when you taste our wines you will taste the essence of our vineyard.

Owned and operated by John Howard, Megalomaniac began as a retirement project to help raise funds for the Kids’ Health Links Foundation. After the original vintage sold out within 90 days, Howard realized the impact the program might have and the idea of expanding nationally became a strategic opportunity. A second vintage was launched, and since then neither the winery nor the foundation has looked back.

Our Cider journey began three years ago when we were looking for a sparkling wine replacement. Hank wanted to create a cider that was refreshing and easy-drinking while remaining entirely food friendly. We use 9 different varieties of Red Apples from across Ontario. Shiny Apple Cider is gluten free, vegan friendly and comes in at a sneaky dangerous 7% alcohol.
